©• STILL HARD AT WORK. The Dramatic Club which has been formed in connection with the New Zealand Natives' Association has boon presented with a cheque for £15 by the Hon. W. H. Herries for the purposes of erecting and fitting a stage in their hall in Tory Street. The timber for the stage is being donated by Mr. Leri M'Konzic, and its erection will be supervised by Mr. Charles M'lntyre. Mr. W. J. Beck is painting the scenery. The association is continuing its energies on behalf of the soldiers. Twice a week the ladies ■ visit the returned men who are :.n the hosptials, and help to brighten their lot In many ways. Entertainments are given periodically at the camps, and the ladies of the association are unremitting iu their efforts to supply goods (clothes and comforts) for the soldiers abroad. Quito recently a big box of clothing was dispatched for distribution among ths widows and children -of tho sailors who lost their lives in the Jutland -battle. The association has donated £5 towards the Christmas Pudding Fund in Wellington. It is understood that an arangement will he shortly arrived at between the association and the Wellington doctors, whereby every member will be entitled to free medical attendance. The association, on its part, is prepared to deal with tho medical men on a 21s. a year per member basis, and there is reason to believe that such nn arrangement would he agreeable to tho medical profession.
