UPPER HUTT ORPHANAGE RELIEF FUND'
4 A committeo is actively engaged organising a sale of work and a danco at tho Town Hall for Friday next, in aid of tlie excellent institution _ lor orphans at Upper Hutt, which is in great need of assistance. Members of the committee have so far met with tlie. 'greatest encouragement. Messrs. Badford and Co. and Mr. Doddrell, of tho D.1.G., have promised tho necessary furnishings, and Miss Murray has volunteered to provide tlio necessary decorations free. The children will bo specially catered for in the afternoon, at which a spectacular display- by Miss Halley's pupils will be fiiven. For the Evening a dance has been arranged. Tho dances will bo interspersed with musical and elocutionary items from leading performers. Donations of flowors and refreshments for the ~ refreshment stall and articles for . tlie sale of work will be gratefully received by the committee, and may bo left' at Messrs. Whitakcr Bros., stationers, | Lambton Quay. Tickets may be purchased at the Bristol, Lambton Quay, and at Begg's, Manners Street; ■ ■
