A'German wireless message states: "The Russians made repeated attacks with superior forces and scored temporary successes atKorynitza, soutli-wsst-of Lusk, but were subsequently driven hack in disorder. We. connterittacked and gained ground north of Zaborow. The Russians, after advancflg north-west of Mariampol, were forced to retreat." London, September 1. % Russian communique states: "Tho Turks resumed the offensive westward- of Gutnish Khaneh and Erzingan, but were everywhere repelled. Tbreo Turkish regiments' broke through our Turkestan regiment. The gallant .Turkestan's' immediately made a counter-attack with the bayonet, and reoceupied the whole position, and drove the Turks westward with' severe losses. A Russian official communique states: "The Turkish offensive west of Gumishkaneh was arres£ed. The enemy fled after great losses.
