STILL TIME TO HELP
People are beginning to wake up to the: fact thait the war loan certificates still on sale at all post i offices throughout the Dominion are a very goocl investment and a firstclass method' of- saving money. The matter is worth tho attention of all. The war loan certificates afford a simple method of killing two birds —two very tempting birds—with one stone. The buyer can help his country to get the money to pay tor its share-in the war,'and ho can also get a good return for the money that he thus lends. - The simplicity of the thing is one of its attractions., You go to a post office counter and buy a certificate, or a hundred certificates, or as many as you UKe; just as easily as you would go in to buy . a stamp. No doubt our readers will have noted that many of the big business houses bave decided to purchase war loan certificates for their employees, who will pay for them on time payments. This is an admirable idea from all points of view, and it may be hoped it will be still more widely adopted. It not only serves the purposes we have already mentioned, but it goes further and establishes a relationship between employer and employee which is useful and helpful to both. They are at once placed on a better footing towards each otheremployer and employee are working together for a common end, tho winning of the war; they are drawn closer together, and incidentally the employee is helped and cncouraged in the wav of thrift. With many the patriotically-inspired effort of saving to invest in war loan certificates will mark tho beginning of a new outlook. There is still time to help with the war loan. The big business houses which have available funds can help their employees by advancing the money; the private citizen with savings can still buy his certificates over the post office counter; the borough council or public or private' body of any description with loose funds in hand can placo them with advantage in, this admirable depository. The money will be wanted, and tho buyer of the certificates will be doubly repaid; he will, have the knowledge that he has done his duty, and he will find I the return on his money safe and profitable.
