SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

There was a good attendance at Miss Harper's concert on Tuesday at the Sailors' Friend Society, when' every item went with' a- refreshing swing. Men were present from the four quarters of the globe. Mr. Moore, missioner, was in the chair. He spoke on "In the Witness Box" in relation to tho drink. Seven' men signed tho pledge at the close. The performers, who received the warm cheers of the men, were:' The Misses Brown, Harper, Josie Bailey, and Mavis Halliday, and Messrs. Muster; Bailey, Charlton (s.s. Devon), Stride (s.s. Durham), Washington (s.s. Durham), M'Creefty (s.s. Durham).
