" . CRYSTALATE CUP WON BY CONGDON. J. H. Owen, Wellington Club, the present champion, and A. J. Congdon, Commercial and Farmers' Club, Masterton,- an ex-champion, contested the final of the Crystalate Cup last evening. Owen managed to reach within a. few points < of 400 when his opponent secured the required total of 500, and a well-deserved victory. Congdon made 75 visits to the table, securing 6.6 points to each visit. Owen had very bad luck, and at one stage .made seven visits without scoring a- point, merely through position being so much against him. The best breaks were: Congdon, 44, 46, 43, 25, 22, and Owen, 32, 27, 26.
