HIGH COMMISSIONER'S MARKET REPORT. The, Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Oommerco has received the following cablegram, dated' London, August 26. from the High Commissioner ,for Mew Zealand. (Note: Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot):— Meat.—All descriptions of frozen meat aro in small supply. There is no material change in. the market; prices remain unchanged. New Zealand mutton, per lb., 85d.; ewe mutton, 81d.; Argentine mutton, 9{d.; N.Z. lamb, 9Jd.; Argentine lamb, lid.; Patagonian, exceptionally, UJd. There aro no quotations for N.Z. beef, owing to, short supply. Argentine chilled beef: Hinds, 9id.; fores, 7d. Butter:—The market continues firm. Danish, salted, per cwt., 2025. to 2045.; Irish creamery, salted 184s. ,to 1865., unsalted 185s. to 188s. j Canadian, salted 182s. to 1365.; N.Z., salted 184s. to 1855.; Argentine, salted 180s. to 1825., unealted 182s. to 1865.; Dutoh salted 178s. to 182s. Cheese.—The market closed firm at tho advance.
