TWO DEATHS IN CAMP

FEATHERSTON AND TRENTHAM. Tho officer in charge of Hospital Records advised on Saturday that the following deaths had ocourred at Fcatherston and Trentham camps:— .-. At Featherstou Camp at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday: l'to. Charles Henry Challies, C Company, 19th Reinforcements, died in Fcutlierston Hospital. The certified cause of death is pneumonia following measles. Deceased's next-of-kin, Mr. Challios (father), of Appleby, Nelson, was present. At Trentham Camp on Friday: Pte. Robort Matthew Macintosh, 19th Specialists,'died in the Cottage Hospital, Trentham Military Camp. Tho certified cause of death is broncho-pneumonia and measles.

Regarding tho general health of the camps, Surgeon-General Henderson reported on haturaay: "As regards the cases in hospital at Featherstou, one case suspected has turned out not to be cerebro-spinal meningitis. That leaves one case there, and two serious cases of pneumonia and measles. "At Trentham, the man who was reported to be seriously ill with pneumonia lias died. : Two. cases of 6pinal meningitis are out of danger, and three others are in the same condition as they were oh Friday; they are holding their own. Thero is a medical orderly who is a suspicious case, and there is also a man who was admitted for measles on the 14th regarded ss a suspiolous case." ■ The following bulletin of Reinforcement patients in the various hbspitala was issued at noon on Saturday:— Trentham.—Admitted 2, discharged 4, remaining 39.
