. THIS WEEK'S FIXTURES. Mr. A. E. Wells presided at a meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association last evening. *- . ,-.

Tho Town Clerk wrote stating that ho had been directed by the .Reserves Committee to inform the Association that in. view of the condition of tho ground the Basin Reserve would he closed for winter sports after Saturday next.

A vote of thanks was accorded to Messrs. Walker and Hall for their donation of a cup for competition amongst Fifth Division teams.

Mr. C. AVebster was elected a member of the committee to fill the vacancy caused by Mr. A. Varney leaving New Zealand.

Entries for the Boy Scouts competitions will close on Wednesday, August 30, at '5 p.m. '. " " '

On tho recommendation of the Fixtures Committee it was decided to 1 close the Third Division competition nnd award tho cup to Y.M.C.A., who had scored 13 points. Institute, runners up, scored nine points. Each of these teams played seven matches.
