"SAN TOY."

• The second performance of the opera "San Toy," by the Wellington Amateurs ln6C night, was even better than that of the first night, which was a notable success. It is a charming opera. The music is tuneful, the setting is just Oriental enough to bo very picturesque, and the general idea or plot is romantic. There aro a lot of jolly, musical, or amusing' people happening in and out always, so the opera has in it all that an opera needs *to have. The principals and- chorus who played these several roles last night did all that they had to do with proper jollity and abandon, and' as the performance was speeded up a trifle, the one serious defect of the first night's production was. removed. "San Toy" will be played, for the remainder of the week.
