Mr. Buxton, secretary of tho Armenian Fund, has arrived from tho devastated regions. • He states, that originally there were two million Turkish Armenians. Half a. million ' 'were massacred, a million were deport- * ■ ed, and two hundred thousand escaped to tho mountains and to Russian soil.. Hundreds of thousands wero interned in Mesopotamia, and, a.s they were inaccessible to British relief, wero suffering untold miseries and priva- ■ tions, outrage,, and murder. Numbers were forced to labour on the Bagdad railway.
