IN TEXAS AND JAMAICA.
Australian-New Zealand Ca"..a Association. (Rcc. August. 20, 5.5 p.m.) Now York, August 19. A hurricane, destroyed the houses, wharves, and pleasure resorts at Corpus Christi, in Texas. There was great damage to property. The steamer Pilot Boy sank in the gulf, and her crew of twelve are missing. Details are meagre, as the telegraph wires are down. Kingston, August'l9. The Governor of Jamaica has announced that the damage done by the recent hurricane, was far greater than was at first estimated. Bananas and other crops have suffered, but the sugar-cane has not been damaged.
