TO PREVENT THE CORNERING OF SUPPLIES
POWERS GIVEN TO THE BOARD OF TRADE. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. (Rec. August 20, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 19. All Order-in-Council empowers the Board of Trade to obtain information whether goods of any description are being held to the prejudice of the national interests—this in order to prevent the cornering of supplies.
