BISHOP RAISES A CONTROVERSY.

London, August 16. Recent remarks by. the Bishop of London .suggesting that women should ho conditionally permitted to deliver addresses in tho churches during the forthcoming mission havo aroused an activo controversy. The Bishop explains that ho never intended to permit womont to bo preachers. He asks tho clergy to suspond their opinions till he confers with them.
