PETONE COURT
Mr. L. G. lieid, S.M., presided at a 6itting of the Petone Court held, yesterday. For using abscene language, H. J. Stinson wes fined 405., in default 14 days' imprisonment, and a prohibition order was issued against defendant on the application of the police. Xetitia Hammington was fined 10s., in default three days' imprisonment, for being on licensed premises during' tho currency of a prohibition order. Thomas W. Smith was fined 10s.', and 7s. costs, in default three days' imprisonment, for using threatening behaviour, likely to creat a breach of the peace. Upon the application of tho police, a prohibition order was issued against Sarah Floyd. For riding motor-cycles on tho footpath, Sydney R. Wallis, Arthur Wade, and Clive I'earce Were each convicted and orderaLto pay 7s. costs.. Judgment by default was given in •the following undefended civil cases: —George Jones t. Minnie M'Cauley, £3 2s. 6d., with 6s.'.costs; George Leavey v. George Sw.ann, £1 Bs., with OS. costs.
