Mr. Ross addressed a meeting in the Makuri Hall on Saturday night, and delivered a stirring patriotic speech. He dealt with matters connected with and arising. out of the war, and declared that his candidature did not iu any way raiso tho question, of party, but preserved to the people the rightful privilege of choosing thoir own representative. ' Oil, the motion of Mr. J. Moore, the meeting unanimously resolved to elcct a representative of their own choice. '
