Auckland, August 14.: The "tonga correspondent of the Auckland "Star" writes:—"There is great activity in business circles in Tonga in consequence ol tlie recent legislation in regard to enemy trading. The Auckland iirrn of Tyndalo and lloss has purchased from the liquidator of the German firm D.H. and I'.G. IheMvliole of the stocks of tho tirm at fctaapai, Vavau, Niafoon, and Niwatoputabu, andj including many of the outstations of tho firm. This 'is a big deal, though the figures of the purchase liave not transpired. A .representative of Burns, Philp and Co. takes over the D.H. and ■ P.G. stocks at Nukualofa—another deal involving a considerable sum of money. The Germans have now quit business,, and the trade is in the hands of the Briton.
