An officer of the French cruiser Amirol JVitbe reports that liis cruiser received a wireless message from a, British patrol vessel in tlio Atlantic, saying that she had sunk-the Deutschlaiid. The captain of. the. cruiser refused either to confirm or deny the report. The' British Admiralty'officials have not received any confirmation of the story.
