REPORTED SINKING OF THE DEUTSCHLAND
WHAT A FRENCH CRUISER HEARD BY WIRELESS Australian-Netr ZecJand Cable Association. (Rec. August 14, 9.20 p.m.) New York, August 13. An officer of the French cruiser Amirol JVitbe reports that liis cruiser received a wireless message from a, British patrol vessel in tlio Atlantic, saying that she had sunk-the Deutschlaiid. The captain of. the. cruiser refused either to confirm or deny the report. The' British Admiralty'officials have not received any confirmation of the story.
