HOCKEY
: SATURDAY'S MATCHES. Hockey was continued at Karori Park on Saturday. The results are as follow Hutt Valley—University.-, Hulfc Valley had rather ail easy win over, University, the final score reading 7 goals to nil. Lusty (3), Smith (3), and Eraser scored the winners' goals. Mr. Sherwood Avas referee. Y.M.C. A.—Karori. The meeting of V.M.C.A. and Karori resulted ill a-fnost even and interesting contest. The gamo throughout was very fast-. Y.M.C.A. scored thrice in the first spell to their opponents', nil, Littlcjohn and Bateman (2) being t-lie goal-getters. Kilminster scored' two goals for Karori in. the second spell, while the Y.M.C.A. total was hoisted to six, the scorers beirg liascard (2), and liatenian adding tiie points. Mr. Smith was referee. - LADIES' • (rAMES. • Ramblers—Public Tnast. 1 Honours were with Ramblers throughout their contest with Public Trust. There was no score in the first spell, but in lh& second half Raiublera brightened up, and ivifch more combination registered four goals to Public Trust's, nil. Misses S. Simonds, Williams (2), and W. Simonds were the goal-getters. M.r. Murphy was referee. -University—Hnatabi. The meeting of University and Hnatalii, resulted in an interesting combat.' University placed five Mais, while their opponents finishecl up without finding tho net. Huatalii played an excellent game, and a- little Tuck would have improved things wonderfully for them. Their shooting yras rather poor. Miss Ellis scored two fine goals ■in the first half of the game, and the spell ended: 'Varsity, 2; Huatahi, nil. Misses - Ellis, Mandcr, and Wallace scored the remaining goals for 'Varsity. Mr. Smith was referee. .5JUNIOR, The two leading teams, To Aro School.and St. Augustine's, met »!■ Petone, the .game resulting in a win for S't-. Augustine's by. two goals to nil. The losers showed the bettor knowledge of tho game, but lacked scaring abilities. For the winners, Miss Avis Curtis did the scoring, one goal being lan especially lino effort. Tlk Misses Rodger aiid Miss An slow played well for the. winners, as did the Misses Smith, Laws, and M'Kinnor for the losers. Mr. T. D. Perrin was referee. After an even game Wellington Girls' College defeated Tc Am School b 1 on® goal u> nil. Miss M'Kcnzie scored. Mr. Sherwood was referee.
