CRYSTALATECUP CHAMPIONSHIP . Last night in the first gamo Shanks (Dominion Club) had no very great difficulty in beating King (Federal Club). In the earlier stages of the game, the Federal Club representative was more than able to hold his opponent, but as the gamo advanced tho latter's play improved very considerably. Congdon the Wairarapa crack, had 110 difficulty 111 defeating tho veteran Key, of the Working Men's Club. The winner easily gavo the best exhibition duriug the present tourney, and showed himself master of a great variety of shots. The best breaks of the evening were: Shanks. 26, 21,35,23; King, 21: Congdon, 22, 29, 30, 22, 21, 22. To-night-H. Wakem (Dominion Club) will meet G. Dyhrberg (Marist Bros.' Club),"and J. H. Owen (Wellington Club) meets W. N. Tucker (BVleral Club). Tho finals and semi-finals will bo postponed until August 28 and 29.
