ENEMY'S VERSION OF THE zeppelin Attack

There was a panic amongst tho workmen, and there were eighty German casualties. "TiiE USUAL PERVERSION OF THE TRUTH i' GERMAN STORY OF THE ZEPPELIN RAID. London, August 10. A German wireless' report states: "Several naval airship squadrons bombed,. with the largest explosive and incendiary bombs, the English naval bases and industrial establishments of military importance in the coastal counties from Northumberland to Norfolk. It was a clear night, and tho results were everywhere observed. Powerful explosions occurred at tho ironworks and benzole factories in Middlesborough,. large tires in the harbour establishments at Hull and Hartlepool, explosions in the Tyno yards, and fires at the industrial establishments at Whitby." The Press Bureau comments: "This is, as usual, a perversion of the truth." GERMAN CROPS IN DANGER FROM AIR-I3OMBS, Berne, August 10. German commanders have issued confidential instructions to farmers for the defence of their crops from British and French aviators. Fire bombs warn them when the crop destroying air squadrons are forming. > FIFTEEN ~A!R" COMBATS BUSY DAY ON THE FRENCH FRONT. Paris, August 10. A French official communique states: "There have been fifteen air combats. Our air squadron dropped ninety bombs 011 tlio railway stations at Lassigny and Corablcs, and 13S oh tlio railway stations at Dugnv, forty 011 the railway station at Appilly, thirty-eignt upon a battery at Noyou, fifteen on the railway station at Bazancourt, and ninety-two 011 the railway stations at Spiucourt and Damvillers." TRANS-ATLANTIC ZEPPELINS Berne, August 10. Germany, hopeful of impressing neutrals, announces that two giant cargocarrying Zeppelins -will begin trading with neutrals in September.
PIOXEEII SHIP NEARLY READY ' Washington, August 10.
Unofficial advices state that a transAtlantic Zeppelin is neariii" completion at Lake Constance. It will bo 787' feet long, and will have a carrying capacity of 88,000 pounds (about 89 tons). Tho work of construction is being feverishly carried on day and night.
