FRENCH CLUB
Oil Wednesday evening some members of the French Club gave a reading of Molierc's well-known comedy, "1.0 Metlecin Mnlgro Ltii." Madamo Dechanet-M'lntosli had made all the necessary arrangements, and there was a good attendance. An introductory piano solo was given by Mr. Hcginbotham. The principal part in the comedy was taken by Mr. Latley, who was very effective as the supposed doct-or. Mi6S Mead appeared as the heroine, Lucinde, and read her part with much feeling. Miss Hind was also very good as the mock doctor's wife, and showed how a woman can scold. Mr, Adamson took s;the part of Lucinde's lover; Mr. Cooke took that of her father, and Miss Lee that of a nurse in the house. Other parts were taken by Messrs. Hodson, Whettoo, White, Hegiiibotham, and Carter. The reading wa.s much appreciated, and ■ a hearty vote of thanks "was passed to Madame Dechanet-M'lntosli for arranging it.
