RETURNING SOLDIERS ON THE NAVUA
■ ♦ THE NORTHERN CONTINGENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, August 9. Tie .Navua's returned men include only one lying-down case —Corpl. W. J. Ingle, of Marton, belonging to tlie Medical Corps, who is suffering from para-typhoid. Two eases were taken to tho Dunedin Hospital—Corpl. Richard E. Smith, of North-East Valley, and Pte. Hoani Hakawai, of Hastings. The latter was operated 011 internally. The men were entertained this morning, and left for the north by the 11.14 express. ■ THE NORTHERN CONTINGENT Amongst tho passengers arriving from the south by. the. Mararoa this morning will be thirty-one nurses an<{ soldiers, who'returned to New Zealand' by tho Nav'ua, now4t Dunedin. Twelvo. members of the party are bound for Auckland, and ten belong to districts in Wellington province outside the city and suburbs. Following are tho names of the nurses'and soldiors whose homes are in Wellington city and suburbs:— Sisters O'Callaghan, Reynold's, and Ibbefcson, Sergt.-Major Tait, Ptes/ Tobin, Moore, M'lntosb, Henman, and Pokutu! Tho Mayor (Mr. Luke) will meot the party at the wharf, and at 11 a.m. will accord them a civic reception 1 at tho City Council Chambers.
