NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN 2J MILLIONS AT 5J PER CENT. By Telegram-—Press Association—Copyi-iglit London, August 8. ' Tho New South Wales Government is issuing a loan for 2$- millions at 5} per cent. The bonds are convertible into stock repayable in 1920-1922. The loan lias been underwritten. Financiers consider that New South Wales has done well to secure practically identical terms as the Commonwealth, with a 6 per cent, bank rate. FROZEN MEAT CONFERENCE. POST-WAR TRADE INTERESTS. Sydney, August 9. Tho Meat Exporters' Conference passed a motion urging that measures be taken for the furtherance of British allied-trade interests, and a post-war restriction as far as possible on trade with the Central European Powers 1 internal trade* only. Messieurs Baillieu, of Melbourne, have given £20,000 to the Soldiers' Repatriation Fund.
