DISCUSSED,
Ihe sub-committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association (Messrs. (jore, Keitn, .llende-rson, and t'oUiorick) set up to ; report upon conditions tor- inclusion in tournament programmes held a meeting on Wednesday last, and will report as under to tho next meeting of tho Aknagoment Committee on August 30:"it .was affirmed that the L.'l'.A. regulations be strictly adhered to; that the .Management Committee be recommended to call attention, of affiliated associations to tho fact that there have been breaches of tho regulations. "Copies of t:ho L.T.A. Handbook, 1915, have been supplied to affiliated associa. lions. The recommendation of tho committee is that regulations governing lawn tennis prize,meetings -and knotty points approved by the Xairn Tetuiis Assocmtion Council appearing in tho'Hand boothe kept in view by the Tournament Com. mittee for attention when approving pro. grammes, and by Management Committees of Clubs/wlien preparing tournament programmes.

"1. Cancelling events wlicro insufficient entries.—Decided that championship evouts must bo played if two or more entries are received; handicap events if four or more entries received. 2. Right to re-handicap.—Decided that the right to re-handicap during a tournament be absolutely barred. 3. Transfer of entries. — Decided that Utile 16, page 112, L.T.A. Handbook, be drawn attention ,to. Rule reads: 'No competitor may transfer his entry to another player.' i. Carrying on tournament beyond stipulated dates—Decided that in every tournament programme provision bo made that in the event of tho; tournament not being completed on the dates specified, that dates for completion of the tournament be mentioned. 5. Substituted piaygr.—Decided that substitution of a player during tho progress of. a .tournament bB not permitted. G. Player entering in two grades. —Decided that a player in events where two grades or classes shall compete in one grade only. 7.. Shortening matches in case of wet weather, etc.—Decidcd that Rules 24 and 25, page 119, and Rule 5, page 105. L.T.A. Handbook, be drawn attention to. 8. Sale of Balls.—Decided that no recommendation be made. 9. Interval between sets.—Decided that three minutes be tho maximum interval between sets."
