SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

Mrs. Jmnes Moore was responsible for Inst night's concert at the Sailors' Friend Society, which was given before a very lave audience. The performers were:— Mrs. Jos. Lewis, the Misses Trim and Maltin, and Messrs. H. Biggs, P. Brown, A. Shaddick, S. Brown, Trim, C. Dalton, and Bennett. In an.interval the following resolution was moved and carried, with cheers from tho men of the Merchant Service:— "That, 011 this, the second anniversary of tho declaration of a righteous war, this meeting of citizens records its inflexible determination to continue to n victorious end the struggle in maintenance of those ideals of Liberty and Justice which are tho common and sacred causo of the Allies."
