Coles, J.P.'s,; David Kay was convicted and discharged' on a charge of drunkenness, and, on tbo.'application of the police, a prohibition order was issued against him. Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided at the. monthly sitting of the Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court, held yesterday. Mr. .Tohn Wilkin was also on the Bench. For allowing stock to wander on the public road, John M'Lauchlan was fined ss„ with 7s. costs. A lad, 12 years of age, who was not being 'properly cared for, was committed to .the "iVcreroa Trainng Farm, and his father was ordered to pay 7s>. Cd. per week for his support. , Subsequently this amount was reduced to ss. In judgment summons- cases,' •G. G. Martin was ordered to pay the sum of £$ Os. 9d. to Messrs. Bunny and Ayson on or before August 31, or undergo six days' imprisonment. V. Grainger was ordered t« pay. H. V. AVestbury £1 10s. 6d. on or before August IG, in default, 48. hours' imprisonment. ./
