OF THE DECLARATION'OF WAR. ' On Friday next, August 4, the second anniversary of the declaration of war, patriotic meetings will be held throughout the Empire. At all of these gatherings tho following resolution will be submitted:— . ' "That, on this tho second anniversary of the'declaration of a righteous war, this meeting of citizens records its inflexible determination to continue, to a victorious end tho struggle, iii maintenance of thoso ideals of liberty and justice whioh are tho common and sacred causo of the Allies." In Wellington the mooting will bo held in the Town Hall at 8 p.m. His Worship tho'.Major (Mr. J. P. Luke) will be in tho chair, and the chief speakers of tho evening will bo the Right Hon. W. F. Massey (Prime Minister) and tho Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward and His Honour the Chief Justice. During tho evening the Trentham Camp Band will render a programme of music.
