It is interesting to note that tbe only civilia.u New Zealander present when the Second -New Zealand Infantry Brigade departed from Egypt for Prance was Mr. W. H. George, who, on Thursday next in the Town Hall, will repeat liis interesting' moving-picture lecture 011 his experiences in the land of tho Pyramids. Mr. George' secured several snapshots of our men entraining at Ismailia, also a remarkably fine kinerna film. These and many other pictures taken in Cairo and round tho Desert camps will bo shown on Thursday. Altogether, there will bo oxhibited 4000 ft. of film and 150 slides, illustrating various phases of the early life of our soldiers 011 active service, also tho various methods adopted by tho Y.11.C.A. to ameliorate the hardships of desert camp life, and to combat the insidious temptations awaiting the soldier tho moment he sets foot in Egypt. Admission to this lecture is free, but there will be a. limited number of seats at a shilling. Reserved seats may also bo booked at the Bristol for Is. 6d. Tho proceeds are to be given to tho New Zealand Hostel in London—an object requiring tho njost generous support, in view of tho largo numbers of our soldiers constantly passing through the Metropolis to and from thq Western front. 1
