INCREASE CALLS FOE ACTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, July 31. The Grand Jury to-day laid a recommendation before Mr. Justice Dennistou that, •in view of the fact that offences against, children appeared to bo on the increase, it unanimously recommended to the authorities that action be taken by which porsons accused should bo retained in custody under inspection by dc"' irs, and when found to be incurable, the authorities should consider the advisability of an operation. His Honour said he was in accord with the general principles laid down.
