Dalgety and Company, Limited, 1 Toport'having held their fortnightly saleat the Upper Hutt on Thursday, when they i offered, a good yarding of cattle; Prices ruled as follow:—Eighteen-month steers, £5 14s. 6d.; fifteen-month steers, £4; yoar- ; ling steers, £2 55., £3; light-weight fat cows, £8 2s. 6d.; empty store cows, £5 55., £5 14s. 6d.', to £6 65.; springing heifers, £6 75., £7, to £10 10s.; cows iu calf (spring calvers) v £7 10s. to £8 Is. Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, report that at their Lovin sale on Wednesday they submitted a good yarding of sheep and cattle. There was a good demand for cfltUc, but fat sheep were slow of sale, vendors' reserves in some cases being too high to allow business to result. They ouote the folloajng price:—Ewes in lamb, 28s. 6d.; fat ewes, 305.; fat wethers, 31s. 7d.; empty store ewes. 15s. 9d.: lightweight fat cows, to £8; empty store cows,.
