The Prime Minister said he thought it would be a very good thing for the farming community, and for the population of New Zealand, it' the farmersspent more money in. fertilising their soil. .. Mr. Hindmarsh: But not to oscopo taxation. Mr. Massey: Tf they escape taxation it would bo only a temporary escape, because the use of .fertilisers would soon result in higher profits," Dr. M'Nab promised jokingly that lie would "keep liis eye on the gentleman referred to."
