WOODVILLE POULTRY SHOW
By Telegraph—Press Association. Woodville, July 26. . The Poultry Show held to-day was an unqualified success, despite the bad weather. The judge said the pigeon exhibit was the finest seen in the Domiuion. Championships - were won as under:—Minorcas: AV. C. Welsh, N.Z. anu Special; Plymouth Rock: A. M'Whitter, ; N.Z. and special; Rhode Island Reds: W. J). Davey, N.Z. and special. Other special prizes were won as follows:—Leghorn: G. Webster; Hamburgs: Paget Jones; Utility and Heavy Breeds: W. Davey; Bantams: H. M. Wilson; Best Bird in Show: G. Webster; Wyandottes: J. Larrett and J. D. Iremonger; Duck and Drake:-H.-Kew. Magpies: L. E. Davies,, six firsts and special; Working Homers: W. C. Gourlay ten firsts and special, J. Dixon nine firsts. Canaries: Mrs. Wood (Woodville), twelve firsts and five seconds.
We note with interest that all the best prizes for cheese at the Palmerston Show and the' best prices in the London market were obtained by those makers who use-Victor ,Vats.
