MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. ■ ■ . Tho weekly .meoting of the Management Committee of the Football Association was held last evening, Mr. A. E. Wells presiding. Mr. "H. M'Kcown, a life vice-president, was -thanked for his donation of a football to be used in connection with, boys' football. \- . Mr. B. L. Salmon wrote accepting tho position of vice-president and enclosed a donation of a guinea. A resolution was passed thanking him for his donation, and also for his lecture to Boys' Institute teams. A letter was rceeived from Mr. P. Boss, director of the Boys' Institute, suggesting that goal-po6ts should be painted white. Mr. W. Auld undertook to paint the posts on tho Basin Reserve. _ Another suggestion by Mr. Ross that in eases where a goal can be scored from a free kick direct, tho refereo should blow his whistlo twice, was' referred to the' Referees' Association. Mr. F. A. Mason, headmaster of the Forirua School, wrote thanking tho committee for accepting his suggestion that a representative match should bo played between the country and city schools divisions. He ako stated that the masters of the schools in the country district would do their best to further any effort being made to send a team to Canterbury this season.
Voi- the purpose of.endeavouring to assist in raising money i'or the Naval Dependants' Fund, it was decided to play a benefit match on the Basin Reserve on Saturday, August 5. It was decided to write to clubs owing subscription?, informing thorn that if those moneys aro not paid on or before August 9, tho teams will bo debarred from taking any further part in competitions.
Fixtures .which" had to be postponed last Saturday, will, weather permitting, be played next Saturday. If, however, the troops parade during the afternoon, no matches will be played. SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL'. The following roferees and schools fixtures have been arranged for to-morrow afternoon at 3.30 o'clock:— North District—Karori v. Northland, Anderson Park, Mr. Anderson; Wadestown v. Terrace, Kelburn, Mr. Jlabin; To Aro v. Marist T., Basin Reserve, Mr. \V. Whittle; Clyde Quay, a bye. ■ South District—Newtown v. Wellington South, Duppa Street, Mr. Evans; Maranui v. Marist N. (2), Kilbirnio Park, Mr Cusack; Worscr Bay v. Marist N. 11), Association Park, Mr. Joseplis; Kilbirnio v. Island Bay, Duppa Street, Mr. Kettlewell. Country District.—Porirua A v. Tawa Plat, at Tawa Plat, Mr. B. Windloy; Porirua B v. Johnsonvillc, at Johnsonville, Mr. P. A. Mason. Results of last Friday's school games are as follow:—Clyde Quay drew with Northland, no t>cSre; Worscr Bay beat South Wellington by 2 to nil; Island Bay beat Newtown by 5 to nil; Marist N. beat Kilbirnio by 7 to nil; Marist T. beat Terrace by G to nil; To Ai'n beat Wadestown .by 0 to nil.
