WAIKAREMOANA BUSH
IIEPORTED ATTEMPTS TO FIRE THE TREES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wairoa, July 25. It is reported hero that a largo party of Natives has crossed to the west, side of Lake Waikaremoatm to fell bush. Elforts have already been made at various points in Wnikaremoana to fire the bush. It would be an everlasting dis-. grace to New Zealand if the magnificent Waikaremoana, bush was destroyed.
