MIRAMAR BOROUGH
The fortnightly meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held last evening, Mr. F. Townsend (the Mayor) presiding. '..., . A letter was received from Mr. C. 0. Crump (Mayor, of Onslow), concerning the running of the Manawatu : trains through to Lambton, and it was decided that the Mayor and councillors attend the deputation which is to wait on the Prime Minister, the Minister of Railways,- and the General Manager of Railways on July 27. Letters from the Wellington Corporation Tramways, advising that the tramstop at Church Street, Seatoun, had been made a' compulsory one, and from the Education BoSrd, declining to lease tho Miramar Town Hall, were received.
