The building of tlutce additional steel trawlers and one w<iDden fishing vessel is to be expedited, n-Did it is hoped that others will-be"'put in. hand at an early date. It is estimated that a fleet of 50 trawlers will be n-rcessaiy to meet the demands of the fish-eating people of New South Wales; smd to provide them with fresli fish rc--1 (ularly a comprehensive 6cheiue of dis- ' f.ribution and delivery is contemplated.

A feature of recent hauls made by the brawlers is the large number of schnapner that havo been taken. This fine lisli abounds along the coast, and at certain times of the year it. is believed that the •trawls will be able to pick un very large '■quantities.-
