ULIMAROA'S CONTINGENT

, Dunedin, .Tuly 16. Hie Uliriiavoa arrived at 3 o'clock Suez, y i a Colombo and Albany, oh© brought 178 men, 132 of whom are invalids. There are two cot cases— Steward Maguire, of the ship's company, and Farrier Allen Smith, of Canterbury. I'our others are lying-down, cases, but the men can walk.' They are Rifleman M. I,cane (Queensland), Bifleman_.T. Stevens (Australia), Driver W. T. J\im (Oamaru), and Pte. M'Leary (Ivahikahi). ,I*llo Auckland men are in charge of Lieut.Colonel Hughes. The ship's medical officer is Major Sharman, and the medical officer in charge of the men is ■Captain Harrison, one of the doctors who were saved from the Marquette. Tho rest of the men are returning owing to sickness, very few being wounded. Aine'Niue Islanders are on board. All are invalids.

Also on.'board are Nursing' Sisters Humphries (Napier), Dodds (Dunedin), Jlitcheii (Wanganui), Tuke (Auckland). The northern men will leave by the second express to-morrow. The southern men will have the option of taking the nrst or second express.

The Mayor {Mr. Lu&e) has arranged to give the men a reception at the Concert Chamber at 10.30 a.m. to-morrow. He asks all those citizens who arc so equipped to display bunting iit honour of those who hare "done their bit."
