NEW ZEALAND CONTROL MEET. The annual meeting of the ~ow Zealand Fotoball Association was held last evening, Mr. W.' Monckton presiding. The following! delegates were also -present:—Messrs. fl. H'Keown (Eawko's Bay), F. O'Connell (Wellington), T. M'Laren (Auckland), R. Hntcheson (Marlborough), J. E. Atkins (vice-presi-E. i'ordham (Otogo), and B. L. Salmon (hon. secretary). Tho report nnd balance-sheet were adopted on the motion of the chairman, who referred in glowing terms to the great work which waa being done in conBccfcion- with boys' football at the present time. At the request of the Wellington Association th<s suspension imposed on-.a ccrtaia official for not ltaving -produced certain books when requested, to do so was removed. The Wellington Association wrote asking for financial assistance towards promoting schools' football. It was resolved to send a reply to tho effect that. the. finances of the Zealand Association wero such that no assistance could be given at present. If the matter is brought forward later 'in the season, however, it will receive consideration. ■ No Brown Shield matches will be played till after the war. A letter was received from Mr. E. Kitson, stating that on account of the war no senior football was being played at Wanaanui. All the attention possible was being paid to boys' .football. £The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, His Excellency the Governor; president.
