THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT i P.M. YESTEROAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds, with fair to cloudy weather generally, but unsettled at times in the northern and southernmost districts. The barometer has a rising tendency in the north, but will probably fall again shortly in the soutli. Cold and changeable weather lias ruled and showers have fallen in many parte of the North Island. Moderate to strong south to south-easterly breezes have predominated, and tho barometer has risen everywhere. \
