A meeting of the. Wellington College Board of Governors was held yt>Jerday morning. Tho Hon. J. 6. AY- Aitlten, TvI.L.C. (chairman), presided', Knd tie following members were also rresbnt-.— Messrs. W. H. P. Barter, W. l f . Ward, . A. Warburton, and W. Allan. The financial statement -showed that the balance at the bank was ,£2172 lis. 5d.; lodged, but riot credited, ,C 27 ss. 3d.; less unprescnted cheque, <£471 li*s. lid.; total,, vl'l72S Is. 3d. The payments were as follow.—Wellington College,' JC7CS. Bs. Id.; Girls' College, <£454 7s. Id.; leaving a credit of J2508 ss. lOd. Tho outstanding . fees wore: Wellington College, J?ISSS 13s. lid.; Girls' College, <£2991 I.ls. od.; rents outstanding, £277 14s. 2d. The net credit shown was .£5375 15s. 3d. The election of the Governor rcqvired to fill the vacancy on the board resulted 1 in Professor Easterfield securing the position. Various matters appertaining to property leases were dealt with in ctmraittec.
