CENTRAL PARK
AND TEE GIFT FOUNTAIN. The Reserves Committee reported to tho City Council last evening that Messrs. Blundell Bros., Ltd., had approved tho plan of tho fountain to bo erected at Central Park, for which work they promised to donate tho sum of .£IOO. Tho design of the fountain submitted by tho City Bnginoer entails a further cost of XUO, which sum Messrs, Blundell Bros, had generously offered to provide, and they have authorised tho City Engineer to accept the. tender of Mr. T. Foley for tho erection of tho fountain. Tho committee recommended that a letter bo forwarded to Messrs. Blundell Bros., thanking them for their generosity in providing tho extra amount required. This was agreed to.
