THE EIGHTEENTH DRAFT
SHORTAGE IN AUCKLAND. The mobilisation of .the Eighteenth Reinforcements should be completed today, when the Otago men will arrive. The present position is that Auckland is twenty-two short of its requirements, and that Wellington nnd Canterbury have sout in substantial surpluses. Yesterday the following men from tho city group wero sent to camp to join the Eighteenth Reinforcements :—W. B. Hildreth (Ambulance), G. Beaumont (Infantry), J. Hamilton (A.S.C.), and A. H. Money (A.S.C.). The latest city enrolments for activo service are:— G. Barber, Harbour Board. employee, City. ■G. W. Turner, farmer, Island Bay. AV. G. Mills, bookseller, City. P. Pellik, master mariner, City. J. Wilson, ironmonger, Kelburn. A\', A. Barnes, fireman, City. R. G. AYhiteacre, fireman, Karori. .T. W. Tepene, guard, Somes Island. R. G. AVeavars, engineer, City. P. .T. Paity, lime burner, Nelson. R. S. Cashman, clerk, Roseneath. C.'S. Munn, clerk, City. THE OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND RECRUITS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, June 29. The Invercargill, Milton, and Dunedin quotas of the Otago .Reinforcements left this morning, twenty-seven over strength.
