AIR REPRISALS
.GERMAN OUTCRY OVER THE . KARLSRUHE AFFAIR THE FRENCH REJOINDER By Telegraph-Press ABSoetation-Copyriirlii (Rec. June 29, 8.30 p.m.) Paris, June 29. Olhcial.—"The Germans aro announcing to the whole world the terrible effects of the air bombardment of Karlsruhe, and denounce the villainy of the bombardment. It is desirable at this stage to recall the fact that this raid was ordered as a reprisal for the bombardments of the open towns of Bar-le-.Duc and Luiseyille, whioi cost the lives of numerous inoffensive people. The Germans have also bombarded Amiens, Bethune, and many other towns five or sis iiines during the last three months. Wo lave abstained from the bombardment of towns behind the German lines, but cur abstention has sufficed 'to show the 'lorld the degree of our patience. It will r.ow be impossible to allow the enemy without scruple to continue multiplying his attacks with an assurance of immunity. For the future our conduct will be regulated by that of our adversaries. They will suffer whatever reprisals thej face ■us to take."
