ITS REFUSAL TO JOIN THE SPELTER COMBINE. By Telegraph-Press Associatiori-Copyriglit London, Juno 2G. At the Zinc Corporation's meeting, Mr. Govett defended the Corporation's refusal to join the Spelter amalgamation on tho ground tliat the terms were very unfavourable. Any insinuation that tho Corporation's attitude was not patriotic was disproved by its efforts to oancel the German contract. Tho Corporation is still negotiating for tho treatmont of its own-concentrates, and is awaiting the result of experiments.
