Many people may conclude that- they havo given enough to the returned soldiers' funds, J'.eeause they have bought a'.'ticket- or two in p.n art union or have contributed in cash to a street collection. But what is-the donation of a shilling or two. or pounds, compared to. the life a soldier offers to the God of War? People must keep on giving. Manawatu patriots, have resolved to build a- club . for soldiers and sailors, on the Jt'Hardy gift section at Palmerston North, and to raise funds a number of farmers have provided 2200 sheep for disposal by art union. Tickets are now for eale at the modest sum of one shilling each. The prizes amount t0.£2200, the first being 10C0 good-sheep. And every ticket has a chance in 250 prizes. In this issue appears an ad. vertisement giving fuller particulars of tho Anzac Art Union. It ol(-o contains'a coupon, which. should be filled up and forwarded -with remittance to the secretary of tho committee at Palmerston North, Business people who are willing to assist by selling tickets are reouested to -write to the Secretary, Anzac Art Union, Palmerston North. .
