JOURNALISTS' INSTITUTE
The annual meetings of the Institute of Journalists, Wellington. Branch and central body, were held on Thursday afternoon,' Mr. P. J. Earle. presiding.' It was stated in the. brauch report . that during the year several social .functions had been held in co-opcratiou with tho Wellington Journalists Union. Mr. E. Ashmend-Bnrtletfc and Mr. Frederic Coleman, war correspondents and lecturers, had been'entertained,. and .a .most successful reunion had "been -held in honour of journalists in : camp-or. who had enlisted for active service.. Mr. F. .1 Earle retired from the office of president, and. the meeting ; placed on record very hearty appreciation of tho services hehad Tendered to the Institute"' during a long-term of. office. .
