NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW

The curtain was rung down on the 7 National Dairy Show to-night, and speaking generally the show lias been , very ; successful. ' The attendance this morn- ' ing, was affected by bad weather, but ■ ' improved substantially this afternoon, and it would seem that the gate results • ; 'will'compare , favourably with other - years. Yesterday's takings beat the third day of last-year's Winter Show by .£57, thus constituting a record. The fruit grading and packing competi- > tion, which was conducted under the - control of the officers of the Orchards Division, resulted in"W. J. Breening, of 7 v Auckland, winning the championship. Tho military events evoked a good deal of interest, tab aggregates of the three loading \teams being:—Senior Cadets, 95 and 98, i first; Technical , School Cadets,- -■ 95 and 97, second; Palmerston High • School. SO and 90, third. .
