In the course of the report of the deputation which waited upon the City Council Reserves Committee in reference to Sunday golf, it was stated that Mr. A. Whitelaw was one of\tlie deputation. The name 'should have been Mr. W. Whitehead. A smart capture was made l>y Constable Marks last evening. As he was Talking alone, the street he saw an escapee from the Wernroa Training Farm, whom lie thought he rccognised as being wanted. The constable went, up to the lid, and after linying ;mt several questions to him lie found that he had niado no mistake. The youth had been missing from the institution for some weeks, and up till last evening could not be traced. Sir. I?. A. AVright, M.P., has been nominated for a Wellington urban seat on the Wellington Education Board, anil Mr. W. 11. Field, Jl.P.,'for a Hutt-Horo-whemia seat. Messrs. ,T. T. Horn.
