This depicts tlie sorrows of the lceeper of a restaurant {Mr. Cooke), who tries to make his son .(Mr. Chapman), who is a-mischievous youth, a waiter in his establishment. Other . parts wero taken by Miss Allen,, Messrs. Heginbotham, White, Latteyj and Adamson. In the course of the fjarce, Mr. Hodson sang a song, and Madame Dechanet, Mllntosh gave a: pretended recitation, only to be interrupted'! by the pranis of the.boy. The interesjf; was thoroughly sustained all through, jand the play-was received with - much. IJaughter and applause. ,
